Historic Main St. building once home to The Bouquet will reopen as Boise's newest hotel

BOISE, Idaho — A historical landmark in Boise is being given a new lease on life. The Avery Hotel on Main St. which has been the home of several Boise staples over its nearly 120 year lifespan will now be home to Boise's newest hotel.
The historic building which was originally the Hotel Manitou is currently under construction. The owners plan to open the new Avery Hotel in its place this summer.
Creative Director and co-owner Ashley Elliot says part of the hotels re-invention was to bring back a piece of Boise's past. "There was a little loss of history and that feeling of sense of loss and roots. So this building is one of the last remaining historical buildings that's been more or less untouched."
The Avery Hotel will have 39 hotel rooms on the top three floors and two restaurants. A Brasserie style restaurant and a restaurant and bar that will serve old world English pub food. Both restaurants are hoping to source locally grown produce and work with local farmers as they focus their menu around seasonal fare.
The 120-year-old building has played home to a market place, a theater, a jazz venue, and a hotel. CBS2 will continue to update this story as the Hotel Avery nears completion.
