Goodsmile Company - No Game No Life - Shiro

So as you can tell from the title, I will be reviewing Goodsmile Company's Shiro from No Game No Life today! I preordered this figure the day it was released, so around July 2017? And finally received it a few days ago. It was a long wait (╥ω╥) but definitely worth it! I've been quite a big fan of NGNL and I looooooooooooooooove Shiro's design so I definitely couldn't miss this one!! ❤

The figure reached me without any breakage so the blister definitely did its job!

The figure

Base: 9/10
The base is a semi transparent slanted chessboard with 2 chess pieces as well as playing cards scattered over it.


I swear my camera does not do this white chess piece enough justice, it has this pearlescent finish that gives it a pinkish sheen when light hits (♡∀♡)

Omg it feels so surreal to finally see her in my collection after more than a year of waiting T_____T (also sorry for bad lighting, my window is on the right)

SHE IS SO GORGEOUS!! Definitely the best Shiro figure in my opinion (*´▽`*) I love the vibrant colours and dynamic posing. GSC is really living up to their name, this figure lives up to its prototype pictures. The flaws are really minimal and details are extremely well taken care of! I feel like she just jumped out from the concept art she was based on haha

Lots of beautifully sculpted strands and beautiful gradient~ I feel like her hair changes colour at every angle (´｡• ᵕ •｡`)

The playing cards circling around her are also really detailed!

Great attention to details all the way down to the shoes ❤

The chess pieces she is holding have the same finishing as the ones on the base!

Flaws
You would think after so much delays the figure would be perfect, but sadly mine did come with a few flaws (ಥ﹏ಥ) on the bright side, they are mostly quite unnoticeable!

The base is slightly nicked on the transparent portion :( But its really quite small and can probably be hidden depending on which angle you display her in!

There are some small black marks on her hair (possibly paint transfer?) I haven't tried removing them yet since I'm kinda afraid of snapping the delicate strands (´･ᴗ･ ` )

There are some very obvious seams where the hairs are connected? But they are mostly at the back and never seen most of the time so its also very negligible as well~

Comparison
I decided to put her side by side with my Kotobukiya's Shiro as well just for a quick comparison! Kotobukiya's scale is stated as 1/7 and GSC's scale is stated as 1/8, but they look pretty similar in size!
Kotobukiya's Shiro looks so pastel (almost washed out even??) in comparison with the GSC's one (；￣Д￣) but both of them has their own beauty ❤

Enjoyment 9/10

This figure did not disappoint me despite the wait, and I am so so happy that she is finally able to join my collection now~
