Matthue Cotton scored 15 points, and Bernardo Da Silva and Noel Coleman each added 14 points to lead the University of Hawaii men’s basketball team to a 69-56 win over Portland in a Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic first-round game Thursday night at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.

Da Silva also had 11 rebounds for UH (8-2), which led 34-27 at halftime and led by double digits for most of the second half.

The Rainbow Warriors shot 44.3 percent from the field, including 35.5 percent (11 of 31) from behind the arc. They will face Georgia Tech in a semifinal today.

Vukasin Masic scored 18 points to lead the Pilots (6-7).
